The story line is just ... ok.
My complaint is that the author is selling very short novellas
(at least 19 of them) for $2.99 each
AND each one ends annoyingly on a cliff hanger.
It seems that a whole book was written and the author is selling each chapter individually.
19 novellas or chapters at $2.99 each equals $56.81, that is a bit expensive for a book if you ask me.

**Spoilers**

I got tired of Natalia crying every other scene.
I got tired of the characters jumping to conclusions over the simplest things and overreacting.

AND I'm PISSED off with the author about book 16, it was the worst book!
She wrote Cam to be a complete jerk and a Cheater in that book when there was way enough drama already going on.
There was also Dubious sexual CONSENT in book 16.

The books kept getting shorter and shorter..
Given (The Witches of Santa Anna #19) ends on a Cliff Hanger (big surprise)
and it was written in May 20, 2012 with no mention of ever completing the series..

Shame on you Lauren Barnholdt and Aaron Gorvine,
What a HUGE let down to your readers!

My Advice to the Author(s) is to re write book 16,
Finish the series,
Put it all in one book, and
Charge a reasonable price!

That is how this long drawn out "Book" can be made up to the faithful readers.

I would like to point out when starting the series it had great potential mistakes here and there, but overall an interesting read. I was once a sucker for romance and drama like the one in this book, but it was too much even for me! I have read all the books and let me tell you it is NOT worth your time and money no matter the discount. The reason for my great distaste of the series is as simple as this HORRIBLE WRITING!!!!! While the drama of the relationship between the main couple was cute and interesting at the start by say book 15 you are tired of it!!!!!!!!!! There was literally no character development for anyone other than the Villain(which doesn't count because of reasons I hope you do not read to find out). The main couple make the same mistakes over and over and reading was infuriating, to the point I screamed out loud in the middle of class and threw my kindle at my friend. It was as if the writer(s) didn't know how to write drama without someone cheating(I'm not joking this is literally the source of all the drama each time which is like 19 "books"). News flash! Cheating isn't the only way to create drama for a couple!!!! I wish that they realized that because I loved the characters while they never developed they were likable characters.

Now the next reason I do not suggest the book is the length. They are split up into about 19 novellas which I use the term lightly, because each book is maybe 3-5 pages, I barley consider them chapters. it will take you about a day to read all 19 and it is a rip off my friend to buy any of the single "books" on kindle, in fact just stay as far away from the series as possible.

It would get a one star if not for the sheer wasted potential this series had.
Where shall I start? Hmmmmmm......Okay first off, let me say, I really did try to love these books. It started off strong with a good lead characters, Natalia. Once we delve in to the story line it seems a bit unreal, and that the By-standers in this book are just blind. The story doesn't really flow. Your left having to re-read and try and figure out why and how they came to the conclusion they did. Of course you have your typical "mean girls" who turn out to be the witches. (Not that you are ever TOLD this, you just kind of come to the conclusion on your own, or maybe had I kept reading it would have finally said) I did read at least books 1-4, okay I only read half the 4th book. I just couldn't find it in me to finish even though I tried.

I got the book because it was a cheap price I would said I like the book. Especially when the book is about witches and magic and good vs evil and I like that love always conquer. The story is pretty cool and it keeps you want more. The more you read the more you want to see what happens with Natalia and cam. The only problem is that the other books are a little pricey I would love to keep reading but I can afford them is she put them at the same price as this one I'm surely would buy it because I really want to know what happen. I see a few reviews that people didn't like them but I like it. I see what people said are to short and there are more like chapters than short book if she make them as a book I think people would like them more but the story is at shouldly pretty good. Hopefully you like the story as much as I did.
Unless a book has a low rating or is expensive I don't always read the reviews; but this is one book I wished I did, or even continued reading the rest of the description. The cover states that it's a complete series however at the end of the description (which I missed) it says it's season 1 so I would have assumed there was more seasons and checked the rest of them out before buying this book.I don't think I would have bought this book after checking out the rest of books in the series due to the price and ratings of the other books.I would have realized I wouldn't have finished the series so there wouldn't be a point in even starting. This book was good, especially for the price, but I agree with most on here in saying that it was way too short. I definitely wouldn't have paid more than .99 so it was fairly priced for the length. I thought the story was good, although not as witchy as I thought it would be. I feel bad giving it such a low rating because I know authors work hard at getting their books published, but I feel like it's an accurate rating. If the cover would have said season 1 and I went into this knowing about the other books then I think I would have given it at least 3 stars, maybe even 4
